BJJ Chronicles is designed to stay simple before, during and after training.
Use Log training from Today and write or dictate naturally. The app identifies techniques, positions, outcomes, coaching cues and next actions before you save.
Pin up to three techniques, cues or ideas on Today. A later journal entry can connect a recognised plan to the session where you worked on it.
Add techniques with a category, position, development stage and the key cues you want to remember.
Progress summarises mat time, live rounds and goals from the information already stored in your journal.
Start with 10 days of full access free, with no automatic charge. Continue with the limited £7.99 lifetime Founder Membership, £4.99 monthly or £49.99 annually. Apple processes every paid option.
Open Settings and choose Create full backup to save sessions, techniques, goals and next-session plans. You can restore that JSON backup later. A sessions-only CSV export is also available.
No. BJJ Chronicles works without registration or sign-in.
No. The free trial ends after 10 days and does not become a paid subscription. You decide separately whether to start Founder Membership.
In the UK, Founder Membership is a £7.99 one-time purchase for lifetime access and is available to the first 1,000 members while the offer remains on sale. Monthly Membership is £4.99 per month and Annual Membership is £49.99 per year. Apple shows the applicable storefront price before you confirm.
Use Restore Purchases in BJJ Chronicles Settings to restore a lifetime Founder purchase or active subscription with the Apple Account that bought it. Founder Membership has no renewal to cancel. Manage or cancel monthly and annual renewal from your Apple Account subscription settings. The device-based free trial is not restored to another device.
No. The current version stores your journal locally on your iPhone and does not use a developer-operated cloud service.
Tap the microphone in Log training and grant microphone and speech-recognition permission. The app requires on-device recognition, does not save raw audio and adds the editable transcript to your journal text. You can always type instead.
BJJ Chronicles checks your narrative on your iPhone against its built-in BJJ vocabulary and your Technique Library. Identified tags and cues are suggestions from your own text; review the entry before saving.
Create a full JSON backup from Settings. It contains sessions, techniques, goals and next-session plans. Choose Restore from backup to import it later; the app asks for confirmation because restoring replaces the current journal. iOS may also include app data in an encrypted device or iCloud Backup according to your Apple settings.
Journal sessions and techniques can be removed individually. Settings also includes Delete all journal data, which removes all sessions, techniques, goals and next-session plans after confirmation. Copies may remain in exports or device backups you control.
Yes. Open Settings and choose white, blue, purple, brown or black belt. The app remembers your selection on the device.
No. BJJ Chronicles helps you record and reflect on your own training. Use appropriate instruction, judgement and medical advice when needed.
