Information stored by the app

BJJ Chronicles stores the training information you enter, including session dates, formats, duration, intensity, academy, coach, focus, techniques, live rounds, submission counts and notes. It also stores techniques, key cues, live attempts, training goals, next-session plans and app preferences. This information is stored locally in the app’s private container on your iPhone.

How information is used

Your saved information is used on your device to display your journal, organise your technique library, identify techniques, positions, outcomes, coaching cues and next actions in your notes, connect next-session plans, calculate progress summaries and show goal progress. BJJ Chronicles does not transmit this information to ARJ Technology Consulting LTD, advertisers, analytics providers or other third parties.

Optional voice entry

If you tap the microphone in Log training, BJJ Chronicles asks for microphone and speech-recognition permission. Apple’s speech framework converts your words to text with on-device recognition required. BJJ Chronicles does not save the raw audio or send it to ARJ Technology Consulting LTD. The resulting transcript becomes ordinary journal text that you can edit before saving. If permission is declined or on-device recognition is unavailable for the current language, you can continue typing normally.

Accounts, analytics and advertising

The current version does not require an app account, include advertising, use analytics SDKs or connect to a developer-operated cloud service. Its only service connection is to Apple’s App Store through StoreKit for paid-product information, purchase verification and restoration.

Free trial and membership purchases

The free 10-day trial is recorded on the device using two dates in the iOS Keychain: when the trial started and the latest date the app checked it. This helps keep the trial to one use and prevents changing the device clock from extending it. Paid access is offered as a limited one-time lifetime Founder Membership, a monthly subscription or an annual subscription. Apple processes each purchase. BJJ Chronicles receives product information and verified entitlement status from StoreKit but does not send Apple your journal, techniques, goals or plans. Apple handles payment information under its own privacy policy and provides the developer with App Store sales and subscription reporting, which may be used to decide when to remove the Founder offer from sale.

App preferences

Your selected belt theme, weekly session target and haptic preference are stored on your device so the app can remember how you configured it.

Device backups

Depending on your Apple device and backup settings, iOS may include app data in an encrypted device backup or iCloud Backup. BJJ Chronicles does not operate or control Apple’s backup services.

Exporting your journal

The app lets you create a complete JSON backup containing your sessions, techniques, goals and next-session plans, or export session information as a CSV document. Both use the iOS share sheet, and you decide where each file is saved or shared. Once exported, the copy is controlled by the destination you selected rather than by BJJ Chronicles.

Restoring and deleting information

You can restore a BJJ Chronicles JSON backup from Settings. After confirmation, restoring replaces the journal currently on the device. You can also delete individual entries or use Delete all journal data in Settings. Deleting journal data does not cancel a monthly or annual subscription, remove a lifetime Founder Membership or restart the free trial. Paid access can be restored with the Apple Account used to buy it; the device-based free trial does not transfer through Restore Purchases. Deleting the app removes its local app container, while Keychain records and copies in exports or backups may remain subject to iOS and the destination service’s settings.

Children

BJJ Chronicles is not directed specifically at children and ARJ Technology Consulting LTD does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes to this notice

If the app’s data practices change, this notice and the in-app information will be updated before the changed version is released.
